Ric Hinnant was exposed to the construction industry early in life while participating in the family business of Hinnant, Addison, and Hinnant Architects and Engineers in Lynchburg, Virginia. His personal experience in the business came after attending James Madison University and serving in the U S Navy Seabees in engineering. Additional experience was gained while working as a managing partner in an Architectural and Building firm in North Carolina. Projects included custom homes, commercial office projects and land development in Wilmington, N.C., Bald Head Island, N.C. and other communities along the east coast.

Now based in Lexington, Virginia, R L Hinnant Design and Construction, LLC. Is well known for quality built homes and light commercial projects. The homes built are all custom and range from large country estates to cu stom homes on private sites. The commercial projects developed are custom and designed to suite client needs. “We develop very close relationships with our clients as we design and build to insure the clients demands are met. A building project can stay in our capable hands from site selection, plan development and through construction when we deliver the keys, assuring quality each step of the way.”

All of the new techniques of construction including “ Green Technology “such as Geothermal opportunities, energy consumption audits, superior foundation wall construction, various insulation packages, solar panels, sustainable products, are offered and designed in our projects.
