The Southern Living Custom Builder Program is a network of more than 100 of the South’s top custom home builders brought together by our magazine. This invitation-only program selects custom builders acclaimed for their detailed craftsmanship, excellence in customer service, financial stability, and use of quality building materials in their homes. Before members are selected, Southern Living checks homeowner and business references, and conducts a site visit to ensure we are selecting a builder that will deliver a quality custom home, and the customer service you expect.
For nearly 50 years, Southern Living has served as the leading inspiration for the region, featuring the best ideas and emphasizing the positive aspects about life in the South. Southern Living Inspired Communities is a collection of neighborhoods marked by charm, taste, and Southern spirit. These hand-picked neighborhoods embrace a pride of place and encourage new traditions of living in the South.
For decades, Coastal Living and Southern Living have curated the best in home design to be featured in our magazines. We’ve established invaluable relationships with trailblazers, trendsetters, and icons in the design industry. With this, designers and readers look to both brands for design tips, trends, and inspiration. The Designer Network connects these two audiences and extending our style from the pages of our magazines to the homes of consumers. All designers are vetted and certified as members of our program.
The Southern Living Idea House Program brings the pages of our magazine to life by building and decorating two amazing homes each year. These homes are open to the public, and showcase the latest products, design trends, and decorating ideas to delight and inspire. The Idea Houses are featured in the August issue of Southern Living, as well as online with virtual tours, behind the scenes, and interviews.
